uMobility FMC solution has been certified with Toshiba’s family of
Strata® CIX™ IP business communication systems and is now generally
available from Authorized Toshiba Dealers. Varaha supports Toshiba CIX
deployments worldwide.
uMobility consists of a mobile thin client (e.g., Symbian, Windows
Mobile) which communicates with the uMobility Controller (uMC) to
request services and deliver features provided by the Strata CIX
platform.
With uMobility, Strata CIX users can now travel seamlessly between
WiFi, cellular and ultimately WiMAX networks without regard to location
or carrier. uMobility’s essence is the patented Service Quality
Awareness (SQA) which constantly monitors the service environment,
moving the service bearer path between available networks without user
intervention to ensure enterprise grade voice quality.
uMobility also leverages the intelligence of the smart phone, extending
the availability of and voice enabling enterprise applications on any
wireless network. This combination of voice and data capabilities
